Voter FAQ

• Scheduled elections

  Though there are no statewide elections scheduled for the remainder of 2011. There are recall elections on Aug. 9th and Aug. 16, 2011. Learn more.

• Register to vote

  Register to vote, or change your name or address by mailing your completed registration form (GAB-131) to your municipal clerk. Or register in person (bring identification and proof of residence) before the election at your municipal clerk's office or on election day at the polls. Learn more.

• Registration deadline

  Your registration application must be postmarked no later than the 20th day before the election. Or, register in person (see Register to vote).

• Am I registered?

  Verify your registration.

• Where and when to vote

  Find your polling place and when it is open on election day.

• What to bring

  Bring your current and valid Wisconsin driver's license. You will be asked, but not required, to show photo identification to vote in 2011. Bring proof of residence, too, if you are registering at the polls. Learn more.

• Vote absentee early

  Any registered Wisconsin voter may voter early at your municipal clerk's office. The deadline for voting in-person is the day before election day. Learn more.
